Teen Camp

The sixth annual HeartKids Teen Camp was held in Brisbane from Friday 22nd January – Monday 25th January with over 100 Heart kids, siblings and supervisors from right around the country in attendance. The camp was generously supported by Variety Clubs from around Australia and by Roche Diagnostics. The camp proved to be an outstanding success, with the overwhelming sentiment being that it was by far the best held.

The camp was held at the YMCA Camp Warrawee located in Joyner about ½ hr from Brisbane. Teens enjoyed a full program of activities that included, the Giant Swing, Hanging Vines, Low Ropes, Canoeing, Raft Building and Water Volleyball.
In addition, the camp included a number of new activities including a pampering night for the girls, bare foot night bowls for the boys, a presentation from Live Wire and a clinical psychologist’s session led by a leading clinician.
