Call for Nominations – 2023 Directors of HeartKids Limited
HeartKids Limited is seeking nominations to fill Board Director positions. Four Directors will retire at the upcoming 2023 AGM, with one seeking re-appointment. The Constitution requires a Board of at least nine and not more than twelve Directors. Appointments can be up to three years, taking into consideration the Nominations and Remuneration Committee's recommendations.

To be qualified for appointment as a Director, individuals must possess qualifications or experience in areas such as
- CHD clinical practice;
- CHD support or services;
- research or education;
- fundraising or community engagement;
- financial management;
- advocacy;
- corporate governance;
- business or law; or
- any other skill considered necessary by the Board to add value to the Board.
The Nominations and Remuneration Committee will assess the candidates and recommend appointments. HeartKids actively seeks diversity on its Board, including Indigenous voices, and encourages candidates with clinical, social science, or service delivery experience, as well as those with expertise in digital transformation, fundraising, or strong networks in corporate or government sectors.
The Nominations timeline is as follows:
- Call for nominations: Friday, 4 August 2023
- Nominations close: Friday, 1 September 2023, at 5.00 pm AEST
- Nominee assessment: Week commencing Monday, 4 September 2023
- Nominations and Remuneration Committee recommendation to the HeartKids Board: Weeks commencing 11 September 2023
