HeartKids Heroes at Hosier Lane

Our HeartKids Ambassadors, Collingwood AFL player Jaidyn Stephenson and VFLW’s Penny Cula-Reid of have both built successful football careers in spite of having congenital heart disease.  Last week they joined up with some of our registered Super Bosses to help promote Super Boss Day and raise awareness for HeartKids.

It was a really fun morning in Hosier Lane with our corporate registrants; Adam Sorrell (Ray White) who is a HeartKid parent and attended with his HeartKid daughter Charlotte, Cody Bettanin (Nelson Alexander), Lokesh Shah (Westpac )who has a friend with a HeartKid child, David Farmer (Stockland) who has CHD himself and Darcy Murphy and Shannon Owen, (both from The Grove Children’s Centre) who have chosen to support Heartkids because they have an educator and a child at their centre that have CHD.  Little HeartKids Tarkyn Mckenzie and Isabelle Wilson were also there in their favourite Super Hero costumes and Sharn Coombes, the 2018 Runner Up on Survivor took time out from her busy job as a barrister (Brian Bourke Chambers) to be an ambassador for HeartKids and help our cause.
Everyone’s heroic efforts resulted in a very successful shoot and coverage on Channel 7, 9 and 10!
