HeartKids Support Team

HeartKids employs over twenty staff located in Children’s Hospitals in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We work in partnership with Hospitals as visiting non-government organisations.

HeartKids Regional Support Coordinators work in several regional and rural communities to support people living with congenital/childhood heart disease and their families.

HeartKids provides direct Support to families in hospital, after discharge and in the community. This is provided by our Support team, a passionate and dedicated team, many of whom are heart kid parents themselves.

Our Support team’s role is to assist and support you with:

Information – practical information regarding your upcoming hospital stay

Referrals – ensuring you have access to relevant services, and understand what is available

Connecting – to other families who understand the realities of living with congenital heart disease

Direct support – our Support team are there for you, reach out and see how we can help you

As well as offering support to people living with congenital heart disease and their families, HeartKids can guide you and your family on your journey when you need support. Support is available to any person living with or diagnosed with congenital or acquired heart disease regardless of age as HeartKids supports heart kids through life.
