Biography
Kate Strickland is a Child Life Therapist with a background in Occupational Therapy and Education and worked in the Cardiac Department at the Royal Children’s Hospital for 7 years. Her organisation, Healing Hearts Beyond, specialises in supporting infants, children and young people in managing the fear and anxiety around medical procedures and medical-related trauma while building on coping strategies and empowerment.
Kate has written ‘My Heart is Strong’
A 26-page soft cover book providing a comforting narrative and beautiful illustrations to help normalise the medical journey for children with CoHD.
