Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People

Information, resources and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and families navigating childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD) and Rheumatic Heart Disease.

What does HeartKids do?

HeartKids is a national not-for-profit organisation who provides support, resources and information about childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD). HeartKids is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities impacted by CoHD, particularly acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease.

Collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare providers and Community Controlled organisations, we aim to improve delivery of care, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by remote communities. We welcome the opportunity to connect with you and discuss how HeartKids can assist in supporting your child, teenager, and family throughout your journey with heart disease.
