Biography
Associate Professor Weintraub trained in Paediatric cardiology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne, Harefield Hospital in the UK and the UCSD Medical Center in San Diego. He returned to the Royal Children’s Hospital in 1992 and is the Clinical Lead in Cardiac Transplantation. In addition to transplantation his expertise is in diagnosis and management of patients with cardiomyopathy and heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. His research interests include national and multicenter studies for children with various forms of heart disease.
He also participates in the Global Burden of Disease study which examines the collective burden from all diseases in every country.
