HEROES needed now more than ever!
Calling All Heroes - The day is still happening come COVID-19 isolation or not so lock in(down) the 19th June 2020 for a unique Super Boss Day !
Super Boss Day is still happening and what a fun and positive way to get out of the funk, build team morale and be a hero for all those fighting and dealing with the anxiety of this disease every day.
In these crazy times we will be looking to go virtual so get your loo roll out, make a super hero costume and dare your family, colleagues and friends to sponsor you for the 8 babies born every day in Australia with congenital heart disease. That is a family every 3 hours whose lives have changed forever even during the current times.
There is no known cure and they need our help.
So bosses, co-workers, teachers , students or anyone who would like to fight crime for a day, dress up to raise funds for HeartKids (in isolation or not ) and support our children with heart disease and their families.
So please register today and start thinking about what outfits everyone is going to wear or make. Spread the word to family and friends so they can convince their workplace to get involved and build much needed morale!
We understand that the current Coronavirus restrictions may impact the day, so we are hoping to provide some light relief, by looking at ways we can have people interacting as virtual heroes.
It is a great way to boost morale and have some fun if we are still all in lock down or a new way to get more people involved if we are back at work!
Our HeartKids community is one of the most vulnerable groups during this time of isolation. With delayed surgeries, total isolation and additional emotional stress due to their high risk situation, we need funds more than ever to support them through this time. If you are in a position in these uncertain times to get involved please register today and join us on Friday 19th June for a day of fun.
Some initial virtual ideas are:
Stay connected with your workmates/friends and family at this time of isolation by having them sponsor you to be a Hero for HeartKids.
Virtual morning teas/lunches/drinks with your workmates, dress up and fundraise
Post photos/funny videos from home of you being superheroes while in isolation – working from home funny moments/juggling work with kids etc. while dressed as a superhero!Superhero challenges against your workmates (from home) for a prize or trophy for best fundraiser
Dress up as a super hero using things around the house – toilet paper (!), clothes, kitchen utensils.Superhero toilet paper challenges – more to come
Superhero fitness challenge – 10,000 steps while at home etc.
Schools stay connected through superhero dress ups from home shared on school intranet.
