This gentle animation, created and produced by HeartKids, is made especially for children with childhood-onset heart conditions to help explain what will happen, who will be there to help, and what recovery can look like. Through simple language and reassuring visuals, it supports children to understand their hospital journey and reminds them they are not alone.
This animation was informed by paediatric nurses, child life therapists, and parents with lived experience of childhood-onset heart disease, to ensure it is accurate, age-appropriate, and emotionally supportive for children and families.
