Every day, eight families across Australia receive a life changing diagnosis. This February, we’re asking our community to give just $8 for the 8 babies born every day with a heart condition.
Sweethearts for HeartKids is an annual campaign marking Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week, 7-14 February, leading into Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day on 14 February.
You can help support access to vital support for children, young people and adults living with childhood-onset heart disease, and their families. Your donation helps us advocate for all families navigating life-long heart conditions and provide guidance, connection and practical support when it is needed most.

Gather your favourite people for a breakfast, a movie night, or a themed dinner and rally support for children, young people and adults navigating childhood-onset heart disease.

Businesses
This February, HeartKids is inviting businesses across Australia to support the Sweethearts for HeartKids campaign. There are many meaningful ways for organisations to get involved, and we will tailor your participation based on your location and how you would like to show your support. Opportunities include team involvement in campaign activations, workplace fundraising or events, or a visible show of support in your office or shopfront. We look forward to working with you to shape an approach that aligns with your business and team.
Individuals
This February, HeartKids is inviting volunteers to help bring the Sweethearts for HeartKids campaign to life across Australia. There are many ways to get involved, whether by supporting a local activation at a shopping centre or airport, assisting at a community event, or helping us create a welcoming presence that sparks conversations and raises awareness. If you can volunteer a few hours in February, we would love to have you involved.Â
