Margot has worked for over two decades as a Registered Nurse, specialising in paediatric cardiac intensive care. She has dedicated her career for caring for children and their families with CoHD. Her professional journey has spanned advanced healthcare systems across the globe, reflecting a commitment to excellence and a passion for paediatric healthcare in Australia and beyond.
She has been fortunate to volunteer for numerous international medical and surgical programs, contributing her skills and time to provide essential treatment for children with CoHD in developing countries.
Margot’s current role is the national teen and young person program coordinator for HeartKids. In this capacity, she develops and oversees bridging pathways and education programs designed to facilitate the transition of children with CoHD to adult health services. She ensures that these young patients receive continuous, comprehensive care as they grow older, bridging critical gaps in the Australian healthcare system.
Margot also attends all HeartKids Teen Camps as the medical lead. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this field and is able to work with the State based services to provide local knowledge to engage and empower the teens about their own health journey.
