MissingSchool
MissingSchool helps children with serious health conditions stay connected to their learning and classmates during extended school absences. Their See-Be telepresence robot program supports students’ academic and social needs while recovering at home or in hospital.
HeartKids partners with MissingSchool to advocate for the education and wellbeing of children impacted by CoHD. Together, we refer families to support, share helpful resources, and collaborate to ensure every child has the opportunity to stay engaged and connected.
Heart Support Australia
Heart Support Australia provides peer support to adults living with heart disease through a national network of support groups and in-hospital visitor programs. They offer connection, education and encouragement to people navigating a new diagnosis or ongoing cardiac care.
HeartKids and Heart Support Australia have joined forces to ensure that all Australians impacted by heart disease—at any age—can access lifelong support. This partnership helps bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood, offering a seamless journey of care.
Angel Flight
Accessing life-saving cardiac care can be challenging for families living in rural and regional areas. HeartKids partners with Angel Flight Australia to help make travel for medical appointments more accessible and less stressful.
Angel Flight is a national charity offering free non-emergency flights and drives for people needing to travel long distances for healthcare. With the help of volunteer pilots and drivers, they reduce the burden of travel—cutting down time, costs, and stress for families impacted by CoHD.
Siblings Australia
Siblings Australia is a national organisation dedicated to improving support for siblings of children and adults with chronic conditions and disability. Through direct support, education for families and professionals, advocacy, and research, Siblings Australia works to ensure siblings are acknowledged, connected, and resilient.
Siblings Australia provides direct support to siblings as well as information to empower parents to support their children.
